Isaac, “Ike”, grew up in a nurturing Woodsville Community enjoying the neighborhood shenanigans of street ball, card games and swimming. As a youth, he began his Christian life with his family at Central Baptist Church in Hitch Village where he was baptized. His developmental years and education were in Chatham-Savannah Schools where he matriculated from Sophronia M. Thompkins High School with the Class of ‘68. While at Thompkins High School, he enjoyed and appreciated benefits employed by Upward Bound, a college prep program, at Savannah State College.  That program was his gateway to enrollment at the prestigious Savannah State College. Isaac remained at college until he proudly decided to serve his country by volunteering into the United States Army in September of 1969. He was a worthy combat unit Supply Specialist in the Vietnam Conflict. Thus, receiving an Honorable Discharge years later with several Decoration Medals: National Defense Service Medal, Sharp Shooter (Rifle M/16), Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the O/S Bar. As the epitome Veteran, he also attached to the Air National Guard where he served faithfully until he retired. He took pride in advocating for veterans and helping them obtain their veteran benefits. Isaac’s hobbies were swimming, water skiing and other water sports. He also loved watching college and professional sports in his past time.

His adventurous nature after the WAR lead to employment with the State of Georgia, Procter and Gamble, Murray Cookie Company and the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. He also had other jobs while traveling along the southeast coast of the United States. He resigned to Charleston, SC and Tuscaloosa, AL in his later days. After a long and devastating fight for living, Isaac transitioned on May 18, 2020 in Tuscaloosa, AL.
