Adams announces the passing of Mr. Eddie Lee Mattox, Sr., 66, who transitioned on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Eddie Lee Mattox was born January 6, 1954 to the late Mr. Joseph Devillers and Mrs. Carrie Mattox Devillers.

Eddie was a former member of New Light Outreach Church, where he served in various ministries of the church.  Eddie very much loved the Lord.  He always acknowledged him in everything he did, especially in his conversations.  If you asked Eddie, how are you doing today? He received his education in the public schools of Chatham County and graduated from Savannah High School in 1972.  He was a former Property Manager for many housing complexes in Savannah and was well loved and respected by the many tenants he encountered.  He was currently employed by Dan Vaden Chevrolet of Savannah.

He was preceded in death by his father, wife, and a daughter April Mattox.
