Thelma Mitchell

Mrs. Thelma ""Tat-Ta"" Mitchell, 89, the mother of Gwendolyn Mitchell, had her transition, Monday, September 8, 2008 at her residence, under the excellent care of Hospice.

""Tat-Ta,""as she was affectionately
called, was a native of Savannah
and a faithful member of St. John ""The Mighty Fortress"" Baptist Church serving on the Courtesy Guild and the April Birth Month Club. She was preceded in death by her son, Benjamin Mitchell, Jr.

Survivors: a loving and devoted daughter, Gwendolyn Mitchell of Savannah; seven grands; twenty-one great-grands; two great-great-
grands;several other relatives and friends.

Visitation: 6:00pm-8:00pm Friday, September 12, 2008 at
St. John Baptist Church. In state 9:00 am until hour of service.

Funeral service: 1:00pm, Saturday september 13,2008 at St. John Baptist Church, 522-528 Hartridge Street, Savannah, GA 31401, Pastor George P. Lee, III,Pastor. Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery.
