Adams announces the passing of Mr. Wali Johnson, age 75, who passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2026, at Memorial Hospital.

Wali was a devoted father and a loving grandfather. His family was one of the greatest sources of joy and pride in his life. The bond he shared with his daughters & son was deep and meaningful, built over years of love, memories, conversations, laughter, guidance, and unconditional support. He cherished each of his kids and took great pride in the individual they became.

He was not only a father and grandfather, but also a friend, mentor, and source of wisdom. He had a way of sharing what he knew with others, and those who had the privilege of sitting with him could learn something from his experiences and his perspective on life. Wali was also a generous and caring member of his community. He sold fresh fruit from his truck and often showed kindness to people who did not have much. He believed in helping others and was willing to give what he could to someone in need. His generosity was a reflection of the compassion that lived within him. 

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Greenwich Cemetery, located at 330 Bonaventure Road, Savannah, GA 31404.
