Adams announces the passing of Ms. Delois Owens Layton, 71, who transitioned on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Liberty County Regional Hospital.
Ms. Delois Layton, 71, transitioned on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at her residence in Hinesville, GA. She was born July 30, 1949 in St. Louis, MO and grew up in Birmingham, AL.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Erlean K. Smedley and her brother Myron Owens Sr. She is survived by two sons: Christopher Layton (Stephanie) of Birmingham, AL and Martez Layton (Woodrina) of Atlanta, GA, four grandchildren: Marissa Layton, DaVee’ Layton, Gaylen Layton, Micah Layton and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Titusville AOH Church in Birmingham, AL.
