Ms. Johnetta D. Cooley

Ms. Johnetta Denice Cooley, 68, of Savannah, GA, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025. Born February 18, 1957, in Greenville, SC, to the late Ira Cooley and Mabel Bing Cooley, she graduated from Savannah High School in 1975. She was a former member of True Love Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Ministry, and later joined Happy Home Baptist Church.

Johnetta worked at Ben Sheftall Warehouse and Homewood Suites by Hilton until her illness in 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Ira Leon Cooley and Eric Cooley.

She is survived by her son, Marlin Cooley; brother, Frederick (Carol) Cooley; sister, Monica Cooley; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and special friends Linda Emerson and Adale Barnes.

Memorial services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Happy Home Baptist Church, 1015 E Gwinnett St, Savannah, GA.

Johnetta D. Cooley will be dearly missed, but her memory will continue to inspire all whose lives she touched.
