Catherine Powell

Catherine Powell, a beloved member of the Savannah community, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, in her hometown of Savannah, Georgia. Born on December 4, 1955, Catherine lived a life rich with compassion, kindness, and a deep commitment to the people and places she held dear.

Catherine Powell entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 23, 2025. She was preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel Powell; her mother Sarah Powell; and her brother, John Kelly Powell.

Catherine was born in Savannah, Georgia on December 4, 1955. She graduated from Sol C. Johnson High School. She dedicated many years of her life caring for others, working as a loving and compassionate caregiver.

Catherine leaves to cherish her memory her devoted brother, Hamiel (Mary) Powell of Savannah Georgia, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She will be deeply missed by family and friends

Home going Celebration will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00am at Second St. Luke Baptist Church- 519 Nicoll Street, Savannah, Georgia 31401.
