Adams announces the passing of Mrs. Meriam E. Bell, 69, who transitioned on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

Adams announces the Graveside Service for Mrs. Meriam Bell, 11:00 A.M.  Saturday, June 20, 2020.

Public Viewing: 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., Friday at the Funeral Home.

Miss Meriam Elizabeth Bell was born June 3, 1951 in Flovilla, GA to the late Mrs. Pallie Lee Foster Gaston and Mr. Willie Johnson and the late Hulda Bell and Mr. Dock Bell.

She received her elementary and middle school education at the St. Mary’s Parochial School and graduated from Tompkins High School in 1970.

She joined Pilgrim Baptist Church at an early age.  She later joined St. Mark Baptist on March 5, 2005, where she served faithfully on the Usher Board, under Pastor Marion N. Brooks leadership.

She was employed by the City of Savannah and Aramark Uniform Services for many years.

She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Rev. Archie Fields, Jr. who preceded her in death.

Our heavenly Father knows our sadness, he knows our grief, and his blessed promise will never fail, when death of our love ones claim, Jesus knows our sorrow.  He knows our pain, he will be our comfort, and he will be with us all the way.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories one son; Mr. Terrance (Vicki) Bell; two daughters Mrs. Katina (Michael) Cokley, and Ms. LaKeshia Bell all of Savannah, GA; five grandchildren, Phenique Green, Anthony Ferguson, Antoneia Hills, Daquan Bell of Hinesville, GA; Specialist E4 Dwight Golson, Fort Campbell Kentucky; two great grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Marsha (Paul) Barnes, Mrs. Phyllis (Michael) Jones all of Savannah, GA , Mrs. Oberia Whitehead of Jackson, GA and Mrs. Vergilene (Wilburn) Webb of Indian Springs, GA; four brothers, Mr. Clarence Gaston, of Cincinnati, OH, Mr. Emerson (Clyde) Thurman, Mr. Carey Thurman, Mr. Sam Otis (Ceressa) Thurman all of Jackson, GA; one sister-in-law Mrs. Glorine Thurman of Flovilla, GA; one aunt Mrs. Leila Shivers of Jackson, GA; a God-sister Elder Sheila Riley of Savannah, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
