Mrs. Phouth Yadavongsy

Phouth Yadavongsy (Maungphou), born May 03, 1941, in Vientiane, Laos departed us in Hinesville, GA on August 15, 2024. She was a devoted wife and mother who has gone to be with her husband Fong (02/23/2022), father (Longlad), mother (Bounme), and son (Boonsu).

She and her husband immigrated to America with their family in 1981. Phouth was a tenacious woman who possessed unimaginable strength & grit when facing life. She loved her family and friends and was undoubtedly the best cook in the west to where people would travel hundreds of miles just to receive a sampling plate. She was creative and enjoyed crafts, sewing and making gifts for people. 

Of her 6 children, Phouth is survived by the remaining 5; her son Khamphouk (KP), 4 daughters: Umarlin (Uma) Kelleher (Upaso) and her husband Dan Kelleher, Viengkhai Yadavongsy, Viengkham Yadavongsy and Viengkeo (Vianco) Yadavongsy (Roberts); 6 grandchildren, Laura Bello (38) & her husband Juan Bello; DeLon (27), Tahjinique (26), Takiyah (25), Dakarai (21) and Talia (16); 8 great grandchildren Savannah (22), Jazmyn (14), Hezekiah (11), Reign (6), Jacobi (4), Zion (3), Damon (2), Bryson (1); and 1 great great grandchild Naylani (3).

Viewing will be held from 12PM - 2 PM, Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Adams Funeral Services- 510 Stephenson Ave. Savannah, GA 31405.
