Mrs. Henrietta Wright Cain was born on April 6, 1924 in Jasper County, South Carolina to the late Mabel and John C. Wright. She joined in Holy Matrimony to the late James F. Cain, Sr. and to this union two sons were born.
Henrietta accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a loving, caring, woman of God who loved going to church, faithfully for many years at Daniel Holiness Church. She loved helping others and listening to Gospel music especially on 1230 WSOK with E. Larry McDuffie, whom she had the pleasure of meeting and was her surprise "MC" during her 95th birthday celebration.
She worked as a devoted Domestic Engineer for 65 years for the late Mary and Michael Curran, Sr. She was a second mother to their children whom she helped raised them {Anne Marie, Michael Jr., Mary, Brian, Christopher and Kitty), as well as a second grandmother to their grandchildren. We called her grandma but for the "Curran Family" they called her "Hedda". She was truly a blessing to family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Mabel Wright, her husband, James F. Cain, Sr., two sons, James F. Cain, Jr. and William Cain, nieces, Barbara Clark and Sheila Howse, two daughters in law, Jackie Cain and Ruth Cain.
She leaves to cherish in her memory, seven grandchildren, Larraine Debnam (Claude) of Savannah, GA; Seddrick Cain (Barbara) of Reynolds, GA, William S. Cain of Pooler, GA; Diavonna Cain (Irvin) of Savannah, GA; Adrianne Cain of Port Wentworth, GA; Traci C. Ray of Charleston, SC, James F. Cain, III. (Seewan) of Marietta, GA;. A loving Godson Tony Mitchell (Carol) of Savannah, GA., A total of eleven great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren, two dearest cousins, Mrs. Mary Freeman and Ms. Annabell Campbell, a host of family and friends.
