Mrs. Bernice Dickerson ""Coot"" Spaulding

Mrs. Bernice Dickerson ""Coot"" Spaulding, 76, had her transition Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA. A native of Ehrhardt, SC, she was a member of Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church in Savannah, GA.

Her husband, John A. Spaulding, Sr., preceded her in death.

Survivors:two daughters: Mary Roberts and Christine Knight Wright, both of Savannah, GA.; one son, John A Spaulding, Jr. of Savannah, GA; two step-daughters: Alberta Carter of Brooklyn, NY and Shirley Reeves of Queen, NY; six grands; six great-grands; one sister, Emma Jane Dickerson of Ehrhardt, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service: 1:00pm Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church, 816 Bowden Street, Savannah, GA 31415, Rev. Alphonso C. Piper, Sr., Pastor. Viewing: Friday, June 26, 2009 from 10:am to 7:00pm at Adams Funeral Services, Inc., 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, GA 31405. Mrs. Spaulding will lie in state at the church Saturday from 9:30am until hour of service. Interment: The Mile Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Ehrhardt, SC.
