Mrs. Barbara Dixon

Adams announces the passing of Mrs. Barbara Dixon, 72 who transitioned on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Candler Hospital.

Barbara Jean Dixon, age 72 of Savannah, Georgia; passed away on Friday, May 19,
2023. She was born September 25, 1950 in Savannah, Georgia. She was(is) the
daughter of the late John and Maggie Moore. Barbara graduated from Alfred Ely Beach
High School Class of 1971. She later graduated from Savannah Vocational College as a
Master Cosmetologist. She then received her Associates in Secretarial Science at
Savannah State College. On August 4, 1975 she and James Lee Dixon were joined
together in Holy Matrimony.

She was a devoted member of Emmanuel Tabernacle Apostolic Faith Church where
she proudly served as a member for over 40 years. Barbara loved her gospel music
which led to her joining the Emmanuel Tabernacle Apostolic Faith Church Choir.
Barbara was a Loving &Devoted; Devoted Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, Godmother,
Neighbor and Friend.

Her legacy still goes on through her beloved Daughter Samantha and Son-In-Law
James English III; Three Grandchildren: Jamesha Rionna English, James Paul English
IV, and J’Nyla Sh’Bria La’Barbria English.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Maggie Moore, her oldest brother
John Moore and three sisters: Elizabeth Elliott, Lela Mae Waldburg, and Edith
Moore(Hannah).

Public Viewing will be on Friday May 26, 2023 at Adams Funeral Services Savannah, Georgia
at 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Funeral: 11:00 Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Emanuel Tabernacle Apostolic Faith 1001 E. Henry St.
