Mr. William Bennett Jr., a beloved son, husband, and friend, passed away on January 8, 2025, in Savannah, Georgia, at the age of 38. Born on July 26, 1986, in Savannah, William brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. He was deeply rooted in his community, having attended local institutions for his education, including Ramah Academy, Myers Middle School, Jenkins High School, and Bethune Cookman College. As a dedicated member of the marching band, William showcased his undeniable talent and love for music, earning his bachelor's degree.
In his professional life, William found fulfillment working from home for Digital Credit Union. His laid-back demeanor, sharp wit, and loving nature made him not only a remarkable employee but also a cherished colleague. William's passion extended beyond his career; he was a martial arts enthusiast who earned a black belt in taekwondo, demonstrating his commitment to discipline and physical fitness.
William’s vibrant personality was a beacon of positivity. He had an innate ability to uplift those around him with his good spirit, always ready to share a laugh or a kind word. He cherished moments spent with his family, showing his love in every possible way. Whether gathered around the dinner table or enjoying leisure time together, William’s warmth and caring nature were evident to all.
William leaves behind a loving family who will forever miss him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lakesha Bennett, his caring mother, Cynthia Bennett, and his father, William Bennett Sr. He is also remembered fondly by his uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends, all of whom were touched by his kindness, humor, and zest for life.
As we prepare to honor William with a celebration of life, his family invites those who knew him to join in remembrance. A viewing will be held on January 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Adams Funeral Services, located at 510 Stephenson Avenue in Savannah. This will be followed by a poignant Celebration of Life service on January 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Saint Philip Monumental AME Church, 1112 Jefferson Street, Savannah. William will be laid to rest at Magnolia Memorial Gardens on January 18,2025.
