Stephen Manes IV was born on January 6, 1952 in
Savannah, GA to Stephen Manes III and Mary McGee-
Manes. He was educated in Chatham County Public
Schools. Stephen was a long-distance truck driver where
he was known as “Easy Rider”. He was also a member of
the International Longshoreman’s Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Manes
III and Mary (James, Sr.) Parris; a son, Eric Manes, a
former spouse Doretha Manes; sisters, Carol Humphries
and Cynthia Fields; daughter-in-law, Tamika Manes; a
brother, Roosevelt Mitchell and two bonus sons Willie
and Roy Walker, Jr. He leaves to cherish his precious
memories: Stephen (Demetria) Manes V, of Suffolk, VA;
Andria (Lemeuel, Sr.) Loadholt, of Savannah, GA; and
Christopher Manes, of Cumming, GA. One sister; Janis
(Dennis) Mitchell and brothers James Parris Jr. and Calvin
Bryant of Savannah, GA. Bonus Children; Minister
Petronia (Shep Jr) Morrell, Lloydetta Lyttle, Lawrence
(Ann) Walker, Andrake Smokes, Tavares Smokes, and
Mario Smokes all of Savannah, GA. Grandchildren; Amira
Manes, Stephen Manes VI and Braylon Manes, all of
Suffolk, VA. Christina Manes of Cumming, GA; Alasia
McNeal, Lemeuel Loadholt, Jr, LeVar Loadholt, Tonsha
(McArthur) Jenkins, Trekeyiah Jones, Jamir Stevens, and

Nazyia Patterson, Tequan Dunham, Anye Terry, Arke
Terry, Maddison Mixon and Jayshon Mitchell, all of
Savannah, GA. Two Great-Granddaughters, Kennedi
Heyward and Kylei Freeman. Great Grandson, M’Cahri
Jenkins, all of Savannah, GA. Devoted Niece and Nephew,
Kenya Mitchell, of Atlanta, GA and Jason Mitchell, of
Savannah, GA. A former spouse and longtime friend,
Linda Manes. Special friend, Sherrie Smokes. A host of
other family members and friends.
