Mr. Marion Edward Tilson

Mr. Marion Edward ""Red"" Tilson, 72, had his transition Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Saint Joseph's Hospital. A native of Savannah, he was preceded in death by his parents: Rev. Collin Tilson and Mrs. Lucille McMoore Tilson, his brothers, Mr. John Tilson, James Tilson, his sister, Irene (Tilson) Williams.

Survivors: son, Stephen McMillan-Tilson; daughter, Stephanie McMillian-Tilson, both of Bronx, NY; brother, Nathaniel Tilson of Savannah; three sisters: Dorothy (Joseph) Brisbane, Elethia (Rennie) Calhoun of Antelope, CA and Margaret Braithwaite of Savannah; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service: Saturday, August 2, 2008 at First African Baptist Church of East Savannah, 402 Treat Street, Rev. Thomas Williams, Pastor. In state: 11:00am until the hour of service. Interment: Lincolm Memorial Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia.
