Obituary: Denis Chirilco (September 25th, 1989 - February 20th, 2024)

Denis Chirilco, born on a delightful Monday, September 25th, 1989, in the city of Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, passed away in his home on February 20th, 2024. He was the beloved son of Elena and Igor Chirilco, known for his vibrant personality, exceptional intelligence, and boundless enthusiasm.

From his earliest days, Denis captivated hearts with his bubbly nature and innate charm. His penchant for reciting poems, often standing atop a chair, brought joy to all who knew him. Throughout his life, he maintained a fervent love for cars, Legos, and music, passions that defined his character and pursuits.

Denis pursued higher education at the Economic University of the Republic of Moldova. Always surrounded by a circle of close friends, he was the life of every gathering, radiating happiness and inspiration. Known for his ability to find the perfect words in any situation, Denis endeared himself to many with his warmth and wit.

An avid swimmer, guitarist, and outdoor enthusiast, Denis found joy in the simple pleasures of life. In 2016, he married Veronica Cioaric, embarking on a new chapter that led them to the United States of America the following year. Settling in New Jersey with Veronica and her son Julian, Denis forged deep connections and cherished friendships that would last a lifetime.

In 2021, the family relocated to Savannah, GA, where Denis discovered solace and happiness in the vibrant locales of River Street, Downtown, and Tybee Beach. His love for these places reflected his adventurous spirit and appreciation for life's beauty.

Denis leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, survived by his devoted mother Elena Chirico and her husband Dan Diaconu, his aunt Aurica Strajescu and her husband Thierry, grandmother Ana Strajescu, his beloved wife Veronica, stepson Julian, and a host of cherished friends and extended family members. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

In honoring Denis's life, let us celebrate the joy he brought to the world and the indelible mark he left on all who knew him. Though he may be gone, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us, guiding us through the darkness with the light of his enduring legacy. Rest in peace, dear Denis. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
