Mrs. Mary Louise Rhodes Washington

September 14, 1948 – January 8, 2026

Miss Mary Louise Rhodes was born, one of five children, on September 14, 1948, to Tannell Rhodes and Ecker Lewis in Savannah GA. She peacefully earned her wings to heaven on January 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving and nurturing family at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

On January 8, 2026, Mrs. Washington traded labor for reward and time for eternity. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: six loving children, Jesse Washington III (Julie), Phyllis Washington, Shaaista Washington, Zarinah Washington, Noni Washington, and Tannell Washington; three siblings, George Rhodes, Harold Rhodes, and Mattie Coles; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Washington was predeceased by her parents and sister, Shirley Jenkins.

Mrs. Washington’s viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Chapel of Adams Funeral Home, 510 Stephenson Ave. Savannah, GA 31405.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the Chapel of Adams Funeral Home 510 Stephenson Ave. Savannah, GA 31405. The Service of Internment will immediately follow the Celebration of Life at Bonaventure Cemetery.
