Marion Osman, also known as "Jeanette" to many family and friends, passed away on May 16, 2026, in Savannah, GA, at the age of 80.

Marion was born in Chicago, Illinois, on November 6, 1945, to Alice Rood and Loren Huff. She was raised in Savannah, Georgia, by Beatrice and Mohamed Osman.

She attended school in Savannah, Georgia, and later graduated from Weaver High School in Hartford, Connecticut, in 1970. Marion, attended Manchester Community College. Marion, worked faithfully within the Hartford County School System as an administrator until her retirement.

In 2007, Marion returned to Savannah, Georgia. Following her return home, she began working with the Chatham County School System as a substitute teacher and continued in that role until her health declined.

Marion was actively involved in her community, volunteering at Savannah Hospice. She was also an avid thrifter

Marion was a proud, devoted member of St. John Baptist Church, “The Mighty Fortress,” under the leadership of Pastor George P Lee III. She faithfully served as a member of the church choir and enjoyed worshipping alongside her church family.

Marion was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Rood; her father, Loren Huff; Beatrice and Mohamed Osman; and her sister, Andrea Carter.

Marion, is survived by her daughters, Venestra Osman of East Hartford, CT, Lenda(Reuben) Lloyd of East Hartford, CT, and one son, Antonio Osman of Vernon, CT. Six grandsons: Anthony Salano, Antonio Osman Jr., Jamel Osman, Jonathon Osman, Melik Martinez, and Reuben Lloyd Jr. Four granddaughters: Aliyah Osman, Destiny Osman, Mercedes Osman, Morgan Osman, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services to honor Marion’s life will begin with a viewing on May 29, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Adams Funeral Services, located at 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, GA 31405. Following this, a funeral service will be held on May 30, 2026, starting at 11:00 AM at St. John Baptist Church, 2415 E Derenne Ave, Savannah, GA 31406. Burial: Woodville Cemetery.

Marion will be remembered for her warmth and the simple joys she shared with family and friends. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
