Lee A. Harrington Sr, a devoted father, loving grandfather, respected brother, and honorable veteran, passed away peacefully at his home in Savannah, Georgia, on June 4, 2026. Born on January 12, 1943, in Lake City, Florida, Lee lived a life marked by dedication to his family, country, and community.
Lee served honorably in the United States Army for 21 years, including courageous service during the Vietnam War. His commitment to duty, discipline, and country was a defining part of his identity and left a lasting legacy of honor and respect.
Lee's life was a tapestry woven with love, family, and service. He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Sanders-Wilson, his sons, Lee A. Harrington Jr (Lovely) and Anthony David Harrington. He took great pride in his grandchildren: Imani Wilson Pirrone, Myles Harrington, and Mitchell Wilson. The family circle extended to include great-grandchildren Denzel Harrington and Ivy Pirrone, whom he cherished deeply.
In addition to his immediate family, Lee is survived by his siblings, Cleveland Harrington (Jonnie), Helen Wyche (Andy), Ernest Brown (Lee), Annie Ruth Barrington, Kenneth Harrington (Joetta), Odell Lenoir (Garry), and Donald Harrington (Deborah), as well as a host of nieces and nephews who continue to honor his memory. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Adell Harrington, and father, Gurley Brown.
The community will gather to remember and celebrate Lee's life with a viewing on June 13, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Services, located at 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, GA 31405. Funeral services will be held on June 15, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Victory Bible Fellowship, 2110 E Broad St, Savannah, GA 31401. ***This service will be livestreamed on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClQ6Qjr6Gw2LgmWHnmq4T6w and also shared to our FaceBook page: https://www.facebook.com/adamsfuneralservices
His final resting place will be at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218, where the burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. on the same day.
