Ezekiel Jones

Mr. Ezekiel Jone 94, had his transition Wednesday, October 21, 2009 under the excellent and professional care at Hospice Savannah, Inc surrounded by his family and friends.

A native of Toombs County, he attended the publice schools of Toombs County.

Mr. Jones lived in Chicago, IL for a number of years. He moved to New York where he was employed and retired as a Lonshoreman NYSA-ILA.

He was a member of Greater Central Baptist Church of New York, where he served as an Usher.

He located to Savannah, GA in the early 1970's and became a member of Second African Baptist Church, where he served as an Usher. He was a member of Interdenominatal Church Usher of Savannah.

Suvivors: three daughters: Rose Truesdale of New York City, Lillian P. Jones of Bronx, New York and Cythina Primus of Reevesville, SC; a nephew, Alvin (Betty) Jones; sister-in-law, Earline Jones of Savannah; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service: 1:00pm Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Second African Baptist Church, 123 Houston Street, Rev. C. McGill Brown, Pastor

Visitation: 6:00pm, Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the church

Interment: Laurel Grove Cemetery.
