In Loving Memory of Doris D. Perry

Doris D. Perry was born on November 13, 1951, to the late Jim Williams and Rosa E. Williams. She peacefully entered eternal rest on June 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and service.

In 1975, Doris was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Leonard Perry. Together they built a loving family and shared many years of memories, faith, and commitment.

Doris dedicated much of her life to caring for others. In 1977, she completed her Nurse's Aide Certification and began a career that reflected her compassionate heart and nurturing spirit. She faithfully served as a caregiver to the elderly and children, providing comfort, support, and kindness to those in her care. Her dedication to helping others touched countless lives and earned the respect and appreciation of many.

Above all, Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She cherished her family and found great joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her strength, wisdom, warmth, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Doris was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jim Williams and Rosa E. Williams; her grandson, Terrence J. Williams, Jr., her sister, Clara Williams; her brothers, Jim Williams and Homer Williams.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted husband, Leonard Perry; her children, Terrence J. Williams of Tampa, Florida, Fawndreta Perry, Sharonda Perry, and Dermarcus Perry, all of Savannah, Georgia; her sister, Mary Salters of Tallahassee, Florida; her brother, Robert Salters of St. Petersburg, Florida; her grandchildren, Kristian T. Williams, Demarcus T. Perry, Demari J. Perry, Elyon M. Perry, Journee S. Perry, and Destinee J. Perry; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, dear friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.

Though she has departed from this earthly life, the love, kindness, and care she shared with others will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

To honor her memory, a viewing will be held on June 22, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Adams Funeral Services, located at 510 Stephenson Avenue in Savannah, GA.

Following this, a Celebration of Life service will take place on June 23, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM, also at Adams Funeral Services. 

Doris will be laid to rest at Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street in Beaufort, SC.

Doris’s journey began in Florida and ended peacefully in Georgia. Those who come to pay their respects will remember her as she was—a part of their lives and their hearts. Services are arranged to provide a time for friends and loved ones to reflect and say their goodbyes.
