Deacon Jerome Sams Sr.

Deacon Jerome “Romie” Sams, Sr., 77, entered eternal rest on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Thunderbolt Transitional Care.

Deacon  Sams leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife of 27 years, Frances Champen-Sams, four daughters, Michelle Smokes, Ebony Sams-Sawyer, Claudette Andrews, and Felicia Champen, two sons, Jeffery Sams of Atlanta, Georgia, and Jerome (J.J.) Sams, Jr., four sisters, Charlotte Sams-Sweat, Betty Sams-Heck, Gloria Sams-Howell, and Vivian Sams-Cottrell, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Public viewing will be on Friday, June 23, 2017, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM at Adams Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Second Arnold Baptist Church, 1427 E. 37th Street, Savannah, GA 31404.

Deacon Sams will repose at Second Arnold Baptist Church on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment: Bonaventure/Greenwich Section.
