Christine Howard, fondly known as Chris, left this world peacefully at her home on January 31, 2026, after a long illness. Born in February 1943, in Savannah, GA, Chris was a beacon of light throughout her life, illuminating the lives of everyone around her with her smart, funny, and friendly disposition.

Chris was a proud graduate who earned her Registered Nursing (RN) degree and dedicated her career to serving others. She began her journey in healthcare at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, GA and later took on the adventurous role of a traveling nurse, where her compassionate nature and exceptional skills made a profound impact on countless lives.

Cherishing family gatherings, Chris found joy in sharing meals during celebrations. These memories are forever etched in the hearts of her loved ones as moments of laughter and love that will be dearly missed. She was incredibly kind, a true friend to many, and she loved the Lord deeply.

Her vibrant spirit extended beyond nursing; Chris had a passion for music, dancing, cooking, poetry, and African art, which enriched her life and the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her. 

Her independence and strength were woven into the very fabric of her being, allowing her to navigate life with grace and enthusiasm.

Chris is survived by her loving niece, Janice H. Corbett, and her nephew-in-law, Les Corbett. She also leaves behind her dear brother, Anthony Moody, her beloved sister-in-law, Suk hui Morris, along with a host of cousins and friends who will carry her memory forward.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Gracie Lee Jackson, her father, Thurman Morris, and her brother, Thurman Morris Jr.  

She is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and her legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering love will resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered not only for her professional dedication but also for the warmth she brought into every room. Though she has departed from this world, her spirit remains alive in each beautiful memory shared.
